AWP 24/7 advice and support line for patients
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership ( AWP) provides a 24-hour mental health telephone response line on 0300 3031320 for adults and children, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
This can be a particularly anxious and difficult time, particularly if you or someone you care about struggles with mental health difficulties.
In order to alleviate pressure on primary care and accident and emergency departments, AWP staff will be available 24/7 to provide advice, guidance and support over the phone to our patients, families and carers, as well as members of the public who may be worried about their own or someone else’s mental health

Bristol Wellbeing Therapies
Bristol Wellbeing Therapies (BWT) is the gateway into Bristol’s NHS funded primary care service. BWT conduct all the assessments into this free and confidential service. Therapies are provided by a range of different providers for adults of all ages. The current wait for assessment is around a month.

Support At Home
Support at Home is to be a free Red Cross First Call service for those aged 18 or over in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, providing they don’t have complex mental health needs or substance abuse issues.
DBS-checked volunteers visit for around six weeks to provide support in the home including practical support such as shopping, light domestic and picking up prescriptions. They can also provide emotional support.
